On the evening of April 1, 2026, a delegation of over 20 members from the “Teaching Lab,” led by Zhong Yuwen, Cai Jiawei, and Ji Qing from the Asian Art Archive (AAA) in Hong Kong, visited the UP-ON Performance Art Archive. Tang Peixian and Jiang Yijia, members of the archive’s board of directors, were present.
The delegation invited Zhou Bin, the director of the archive, to provide an overview on three topics: first, his experience teaching performance art at the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute; second, the original vision behind establishing the UP-ON Archive and its current development; and third, the historical context and current state of performance art in Chengdu.
Following the formal presentation, some attendees moved to the archive’s rooftop, where the discussion continued until midnight.
