Over the past 25 years of performance art practice, I’ve met countless artists, curators, and audiences. I’ve traveled to many different cities, countries, and venues, traveled by various transportation, and been surrounded by people of different races, heights, languages, smells, in different temperatures and climates. I’ve also been to various traditional markets, supermarkets, and restaurants, experiencing different cuisines and food cultures… But I’ve always shared the same passion to gather with the artists in the performance art community, who are like family to me, to create art together, to live together, to dream together, and to encourage each other. Now I am considered a senior artist, some masters older than me have gradually retired, and artists of my generation have also followed different development paths, while young artists are moving towards more diverse forms. I suddenly feel that although different paths lead to different destinations, a brief encounter is also a very beautiful thing.
